Blue Ming Charger Plate
Blue Ming is a collaboration between Vista Alegre and internationally renowned and awarded Dutch designer Marcel Wanders, who has developed his work in several areas, including collaborations with international brands, and in architectural projects. Numerous Wanders creations are among the collections of some of the most prestigious museums in the world, including the Center Pompidou in Paris, the MoMA in New York, and the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam.
Delft porcelain (also known as “Delft Blue”), world-famous pottery that has been produced in the Dutch city of Delft since the 16th century, was inspired by Ming Dynasty pottery, created in China in the 3rd century. Centuries of history and different cultures are merged in Marcel Wanders’ Blue Ming collection. Floral motifs are reinterpreted in a surprising design with unexpected splashes of different colors. A really striking collection on the dinner table.
For a more formal look, you can add the larger charger plate that coordinates with the dinner and soup plates. These larger 13" plates could also be used for serving food items on the table. Sold individually.
