Blue Ming

Delft porcelain (also known as “Delft Blue”), world-famous pottery that has been produced in the Dutch city of Delft since the 16th century, was inspired by Ming Dynasty pottery, created in China in the 3rd century. Centuries of history and different cultures are merged in Marcel Wanders’ Blue Ming collection. Floral motifs are reinterpreted in a surprising design with unexpected splashes of different colors.

The Blue Ming Collection of dinnerware is a collaboration between Vista Alegre and internationally renowned and awarded Dutch designer Marcel Wanders. He has developed his work in several areas, including collaborations with international brands, and in architectural projects. Numerous Wanders creations are among the collections of some of the most prestigious museums in the world, including the Center Pompidou in Paris, the MoMA in New York, and the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam.

We love this stunning blue and white porcelain place setting, and it's such a great way to freshen up your table at a great price. The dinner plates and soup bowls are both sold in sets of 4. We paired the setting with blue and white placemats and napkins and our popular Siena water glasses with a blue rim. Finishing touches, such as the blue salt and pepper mills from Italy, pull it all together.
